Welcome! The Dance Zone has inspired and trained dancers for 30 years. The goal is to give every student an experience that will make a positive impact on their lives forever.  Whether the student chooses a career in dance or uses dance to enhance their lives, The Dance Zone is the perfect studio to learn, create and grow.

Gretchen started at The Dance Zone as a student at the age of 9 after moving to Florida from Connecticut! She was a member of our Serenade dance company and has taught various levels and styles of dance here! She has been our Children’s Program Director for the last 20 years! Gretchen has a Degree in Business Management and a Montessori certification and taught preschool and kindergarten at a local Montessori school for 10 years! The Dance Zone has been her second family and home away from home for the past 30 years!

Elizabeth grew up at the Dance Zone watching her mother, Ms. Lori, teach. Elizabeth was a student of music. She studied vocal performance at the University of South Florida and briefly minored in bassoon. She was hired at Millhopper Montessori School in Gainesville where she taught general music to three year olds through eighth graders. She helped her work partner, Sylvia Aslanian, grow the drama department by training young thespians in proper vocal technique and dance training. They directed and produced several full length musicals including The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, and Seussical. Elizabeth taught masterclasses and summer camps for Dance Zone until she moved back to Melbourne where she started full time at Dance Zone teaching musical theater and voice classes.
